Steel grades
Q235B or Q355B? How to Choose the Steel Grade for a Building
The two grades used for most Chinese-fabricated steel buildings, what actually differs between them, and the cases where paying more per ton reduces the total cost.
Technical Guides
Short technical guides for procurement teams, contractors and engineers working on steel buildings: which grade to use, which standards to confirm, how coating systems are specified, and how container loading is planned.

Guides
Each guide covers one decision, states what it depends on, and lists the inputs needed to move forward. They explain general practice rather than a specific project.
Steel grades
The two grades used for most Chinese-fabricated steel buildings, what actually differs between them, and the cases where paying more per ton reduces the total cost.
Standards
Chinese fabrication is usually done to GB standards. Overseas projects often specify EN or ASTM. This is what has to be confirmed before fabrication starts, and why equivalent grades are not automatically interchangeable.
Corrosion protection
How ISO 12944 corrosion categories, durability ranges and dry film thickness fit together, and how to write a coating specification that a fabricator can actually inspect against.
Export packing
Approximate internal dimensions and payloads for the three containers used for steel structures, what each one suits, and the loading constraints that decide the plan before fabrication is released.
Scope
The guides explain how common steel structure decisions work and which information drives them. They are written for a general readership and are not a design, a code interpretation, or a substitute for the engineer responsible for your project.
Where a guide gives typical values, the actual requirement has to be confirmed against the project specification, the applicable standard and the manufacturer documentation before fabrication release.
